The machine is capable of straightening welded beams of the following dimensions:
• Web height : 280 up to approx.. 3000 mm
• Web thickness: 3 – 30 mm
• Flange width: 150 – 500 mm (800 mm), extendable
• Flange thickness: 5 up to approx. 40 mm
• Standard beam lengths: 12 – 16 m, extendable
The machine is suitable to straighten T or I beams distorted from welding. Straightening is done simultaneously on both sides on either flange. The pressure of the straightening rolls is hydraulically pre-set and depends on the respective flange thickness and the degree of distortion. The four adjustable lateral guide rolls for the flange as well as the four guide rolls for the web warrant precise linear movement of the beam. As mentioned above, the pressure of the driven straightening rolls is adjustable. The linear transport speed by means of the driven rolls is also adjustable. The pressing force of the straightening rolls is max. 50 ton. The advance speed is adjustable to a max. of 18 m/min. The max. beam weight is approx.. 2 ton/meter.
